We have recently discovered Great Days Out and during the summer of 2025 managed to book two trips. We were very impressed with the booking system which was very easy and efficient and all done with a very friendly approach by Paola.
Each trip went without a hitch and David our driver could not have done more to make sure we had a very enjoyable day.
This team are dedicated to creating a wide variety of trips to suit their client’s various needs and take pride in customer satisfaction.
David and Paola also arrange coffee mornings four times a year to raise money for charity, which also gives existing clients a chance to socialise and get to know each other. I can thoroughly recommend this local public spirited company.

We commend Great Days Out for their excellent service available to those living in Salisbury and the surrounding area. In 2025 we experienced eight wonderful days out travelling with David Lowe and his team. The day trips are planned with precision and with the utmost kindness and consideration for the comfort for all passengers onboard their transport, who enjoy a safe and stress free journey to many destinations. The choice of events offered are varied to suit all age groups from places of historical interest, a day at the races, the seaside, a theatre performance, there is something for everyone in the community.
The local community is an important consideration for this organisation who also hold regular socialising coffee mornings in support of a chosen charity.
On a personal note my daughter and I have already booked seven day trips for this year in the full knowledge that we will be well looked after. I am in my ninety-second year and no longer drive, my daughter is visually impaired and therefore unable to drive, so Great Days Out provides us with the opportunity to visit many locations and events that would otherwise be impossible.

Dear David & Paola,
During 2025 we have enjoyed eight Great Days Out with you which not have been possible without your wonderful day trips. The Highlights being:-
Hughenden Manor which was not just interesting for being the home of Benjamin Disraeli with its collection of art but additionally the headquarters of Bomber Command map making during World War 2. We were offered short lectures on both subjects which were most informative.
RHS Wakehurst Place detailed how seeds are prepared for preservation, most important bearing in mind our climate change. It is understood that the house has now been restored and open to the general public.
The rainy day did not spoil our visit to Hatfield House where there are many beautiful pieces of jade on display We managed to take pictures of the gardens under the cover of our umbrellas and understand that it is also possible to view the Tudor building on this site.
We absolutely loved Athelhampton House and the wonderful pieces of Medieval furniture which are beautifully displayed.
Thank you both for your brilliant Days Out and all the care you take of your passengers. We look forward to planning more trips in the New Year.

Hi Dave,
Thanks so much for getting me and all of us home safely and for an absolutely wonderful day out. It would have been such a nightmare logistically to plan a trip like that for one person but to organise all of that for a group of 22 people was beyond amazing.
I had already booked another trip to go to Clarks Shopping Village in Street with my best friend in November and I'm really looking forward to that. I'm sure it will be a great day out but the Jane Austen trip was something really special. I studied English (and Classics) at University and did a lot of work on Jane Austen's novels but I never really had much time to go deep into her personal life so today was an absolute joy. I didn't catch the name of the Blue Badge Guide but could you thank her for me? She was just brilliant.
It was a joy to visit Jane Austen's house but surprisingly for me, the highlight of the trip was the Church in Stevenson. The (retired) Vicar there was so knowledgeable and passionate about the heritage of Jane Austen - as were the villager volunteers.
Finally thank you so much to you! You managed the whole day wonderfully and kept so completely calm. I genuinely do not know how you do it!

Hello Paola,
Yesterday I went on your trip to the Alexandra Palace to the Knit & Stitch Show. I went with my dearest friend B, who had given me this outing as a birthday gift.
I wanted to tell you that I was "blown away" by the amazing organisation of the pick-ups, the gorgeous and comfortable mini-coach and the outstanding driver, David who was so kind, solicitous and competent.
The travel was wonderful, comfortable and .............................. I have run out of superlatives! It was perfect and flawless.
I have your brochure now and my husband and I would like to be added to your email list for any available last minute offers.
We shall we booking trips with you definitely next year but even in the next few months.

Hello Paola,
We very much enjoyed our first experience with Great Days Out. Every thing went extremely smoothly from the initial phone call to enquire if there were any seats left for the trip on the 2 of October. We were put on the waiting list as the places were all booked. However a few days later we had a call to say two seats had become available. It was so nice to be able to speak to a real person rather than booking on line it was easy to complete the booking and emails were sent promptly to confirm everything.
The pick up went without a hitch and also the whole day.David was very courteous and cheerful.and made sure everyone was comfortable on our journey.
It was lovely to meet some new people and everyone was very friendly.
We will certainly be booking again soon and we look forward to next years brochure. Many thanks for a very enjoyable day October 2025
